The journal that understands Tradovate and its prop firms
Export your trades from Tradovate and upload them to Jornalo in seconds, without connecting any credentials. Automatic detection of Apex, Topstep, MFFU, and TakeProfitTrader accounts, real-time metrics, and a prop firm tracker with MDD and profit target up to date.
Why Jornalo for Tradovate?
Tradovate has become the broker of choice for futures prop firms: Apex, Topstep, MyFundedFutures, TakeProfitTrader, EliteTraderFunding, and TradeDay run on its cloud infrastructure. The good news: your history exports in one click. The bad news: Tradovate was never designed as a journal, its reporting panel is basic, and it doesn't understand prop firm rules. Jornalo imports your Tradovate CSV, recognizes the format automatically, and builds a complete journal on top. Nothing to connect: you export, upload the file, and your trades land deduplicated and ready to analyze.

Upload your Tradovate CSV
Export your trades from the Tradovate panel and upload them in Settings → Sync. Jornalo recognizes the format automatically and discards duplicates if you upload the same period twice.
Your history appears in the dashboard
Jornalo detects your prop firm accounts by ID and calculates trailing MDD, profit target, win rate, and 15+ more metrics. To update, export again and upload the file: trades already imported are never duplicated.
Everything Jornalo does with your Tradovate data
CSV import with format detection
Upload the Tradovate export as-is: Jornalo recognizes the format automatically, validates the rows, and discards what's already imported. No templates, no column mapping, no editing the file.
Zero credential storage
You don't connect your account or enter any passwords: you just upload an exported file. Your Tradovate credentials never touch Jornalo.
Automatic detection of Apex, Topstep and MFFU accounts
We recognize Apex (APEX-xxxx, PA-APEX-xxxx), Topstep (TST-xxxx, TCP-xxxx), MyFundedFutures (MFF-xxxx) and TakeProfitTrader account IDs. Each one gets its own prop firm panel.
Fill-to-trade aggregation
Tradovate's trade export comes in as-is, with entry, exit, and P/L per trade. Got a raw executions export? Jornalo pairs the fills into long/short trades automatically. Ready to review without touching Excel.
Prop firm tracker with up-to-date rules
For Apex, Topstep, MFFU and TakeProfitTrader accounts we show trailing MDD, daily loss limit, profit target, contract limits and consistency, recalculated after every sync.
Dashboard with 15+ advanced metrics
Equity curve, win rate, profit factor, max drawdown, Sharpe, Sortino, ROMAD, MFE, MAE, exit efficiency, rolling stats, P/L by hour and by symbol. All computed from your Tradovate fills.
Tradovate-specific use cases
Prop firm trader with multiple Tradovate accounts
If you trade Apex + Topstep + MFFU from the same Tradovate session, one export is enough: Jornalo detects every account by its ID and shows the state of each evaluation or PA in a single dashboard.
Pure Tradovate trader without NinjaTrader
Many traders skip NinjaTrader and trade straight from Tradovate web or mobile. Jornalo gives you the same level of analysis without forcing a desktop install.
Session review on micro accounts
If you scalp MES or MNQ intraday, fills pile up fast. Jornalo groups them and gives you P/L by symbol, by hour and by day-of-week — patterns Tradovate's native panel never surfaces.
Tradovate and Jornalo FAQ
Does Jornalo store my Tradovate credentials?
No. It never even asks for them: importing works by uploading the CSV you export from your Tradovate panel, so your credentials never touch Jornalo.
Does the sync work with prop firm accounts on Tradovate?
Yes. The Tradovate export includes trades from every account visible in your session, prop firm accounts included (Apex, Topstep, MFFU, TakeProfitTrader, EliteTraderFunding, and TradeDay). Jornalo detects them by ID and creates their prop firm panel automatically.
Do I need an API key or to connect my account?
No. There are no keys to generate and nothing to connect: just export the CSV from your Tradovate panel and upload it in Settings → Sync.
How often does it sync?
Importing is manual: you export and upload the file whenever you want. Doing it at the end of your session or trading day works best. Already-imported trades are deduplicated, so you can upload overlapping periods without worry.
Can I combine Tradovate with NinjaTrader or Rithmic CSVs?
Yes. Jornalo accepts native NinjaTrader sync plus CSV import from Tradovate, Rithmic, Sierra Chart, ATAS, and NinjaTrader. All sources feed the same dashboard without duplicating trades.
