Parlez à votre journal de trading
Connect Jornalo to Claude and ask about your numbers the way you would ask an analyst: no exports, no copy-paste, your real data.
Install it in Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http jornalo https://jornalo.com/api/mcpWhat you can ask
These work exactly as written, in plain language. The agent picks the tools it needs.
How close am I to the drawdown on each account right now?
Which setup is losing me money this month?
How much have I paid in commissions this year?
Compare this quarter’s performance with the previous one.
Tag my trades from today as breakout.
Can I take another loss today or should I stop?
Attach the screenshots in this folder to the trades they belong to.
What it can do
Fourteen tools over the same data you see in the web app.
Performance
KPIs for any period, equity curve, monthly breakdown, individual trades and profitability per setup. The same calculations as the dashboard, with no drift.
Funded account risk
Dollar cushion to the trailing drawdown and the daily loss limit on every active account, alert level, progress to target and the recommended risk per trade.
Bounded writing
It can tag trades with setups you already created, write journal notes and attach chart screenshots to each trade (and to its mirrors in other accounts). Nothing else: it never creates or deletes trades.
How to install it
One minute. No keys to generate, no tokens to paste anywhere.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http jornalo https://jornalo.com/api/mcpPaste the command, then type /mcp to authorize. Your browser opens, you sign in to Jornalo and confirm the permissions.
Claude (web and desktop)
https://jornalo.com/api/mcpIn connector settings, add a custom remote connector with this address. Copy it exactly, with no trailing slash.
Cursor and other clients
Tout client qui parle MCP sur HTTP avec OAuth 2.1 fonctionne. Ajoutez Jornalo à son fichier de configuration :
Dans Cursor : .cursor/mcp.json (par projet) ou ~/.cursor/mcp.json (global)
{
"mcpServers": {
"jornalo": {
"url": "https://jornalo.com/api/mcp"
}
}
}Aucune clé ni client_id nécessaire : le client découvre seul le serveur d’autorisation et ouvre votre navigateur la première fois.
Nécessite un compte Jornalo avec un plan Pro actif.
You stay in control
Standard OAuth 2.1 authorization: you never share your password with the agent.
Before connecting you see a screen telling you which application is asking, for what permissions, and where it sends you back. You decide.
No permission lets it create or delete trades, import files, see your broker credentials, touch your subscription or delete your account.
Revoke access any time from Settings → AI agents, and it stops working immediately.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard that lets an AI assistant use external tools and data. An MCP server exposes those tools; once connected, Claude can query your Jornalo journal while you talk to it, instead of you pasting screenshots or figures by hand.
Is it safe to give it access to my trading data?
The connection uses OAuth 2.1, the same mechanism behind signing in with Google elsewhere: you never share your password with the agent, and Jornalo shows you a consent screen with the exact permissions before granting anything. Access is revoked from your settings and stops working immediately.
Can the agent damage my journal?
Its write ability is limited to three things: tagging trades with setups you created yourself, writing notes and attaching chart screenshots. It cannot create or delete trades, import files, or invent new setups. Everything else is read-only.
Do I need the Pro plan?
Yes. Connecting AI agents is part of the Pro plan. If your subscription lapses the connection stops responding, and it works again as soon as you reactivate — no need to authorize a second time.
Does it work with anything other than Claude?
Yes. The server implements the MCP standard over HTTP with OAuth 2.1, so it works with any compatible client: Claude web and desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and whatever comes next. Nothing about it is vendor-specific.
Can it upload my chart screenshots?
Yes, from a client that can read your files and make HTTP requests, such as Claude Code. Tell it which folder holds them and which account they belong to; the agent matches each screenshot to its trade by date and instrument, shows you the mapping for confirmation and uploads the files straight to Jornalo (up to 6 per trade, 4 MB each). A chat-only client such as Claude in the browser cannot upload files, but it can tell you which trades already have screenshots.
